The conclave aims to showcase the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR)'s efforts in supporting common infrastructural facilities, technology support and access to specialized services to MSMEs/Startups through the Common Research & Technology Development Hubs (CRTDHs) . There are 18 CRTDHs across the country in various Public Funded Research Institutions (PFRI’s) (e.g. CSIR Labs, IITs, NITs, NIPERs, and Universities). The ongoing multi-institutional effort under DSIR - CRTDH initiative engaged several MSMEs/Startups and facilitated their access to advanced technologies, research and development (R&D) facilities, technology infrastructure, incubation centers, testing solution and business development services. DSIR aims to expand the network of CRTDHs across the country to enable India to emerge as a global Industrial and Innovation hub.
Attending the Conclave, the MSME members will get an opportunity to leverage the exhibition/demonstration of relevant indigenous technologies developed by various CRTDHs in the area of
The conclave will discuss required technologies, training programs and testing solutions for MSME and establish connection to the corresponding supporting Labs/Pilot plant created under DSIR-CRTDH scheme.
There will be discussion and idea exchange sessions to make our collective efforts to empower MSMEs/Startups. The two-day DSIR-CRTDH conclave will provide a platform for MSMEs to connect with DSIR- CRTDHs, Startups & industry leaders and explore collaboration. The conclave is expected to provide roadmaps for targeted achievements of MSMEs/Startups.
Alongside main Conclave (Nov 06-07, 2023), a pre-conclave workshop on Flow Synthesis & Continuous Manufacturing (Nov 05, 3:30 PM) is arranged in associaiton with CRTDH, NCL Pune. The workshop will discuss flow synthesis and continuous manufacturing tools with case studies for fine and specialty chemical industries.
Similarly, another pre-conclave workshop by IIT Gandhinagar on Low-Cost High-tech Automation for MSMEs in manufacturing sector on Nov 05 (3:30 PM) will discuss some of the developed Low-Cost Automation techniques and its implementation for making MSME more competitive in emerging markets.
The workshops on (a) Hazard Identification using HAZOP (Nov 06, 5:30 PM) and (b) Energy Assessment for MSMEs Industries (Nov 07, 2 PM) are organized by IIT Gandhinagar CRTDH along with Centre for Safety Engineering and Kotak – IIT Save Energy Mission respectively. While the HAZOP workshop will discuss techniques for hazard identification with various industrial case studies, the Energy Assessment workshop will discuss assessment procedures and tools to reduce energy bills along with case studies and benefits achieved for several MSMEs.
The workshop on Innovation & Startup Ecosystem in CRTDHs (Nov 06, 5:30 PM) is organized in association with various DSIR - CRTDH Labs. The workshop will discuss entrepreneurial opportunities in institutes with CRTDH Labs, support systems, and best practices for Startups, including funding opportunities.
